Chapter 1
A bright light engulfs the area so that nothing can be seen, but a dark figure. The shadow of the figure on the stone ground revealed a crown of horns on a massive body. The light soon faded. On the ground was a woman in all black. She wore a flack vest, a mouth shield and in her strong hand was an assault rifle. Her eyes covered by her dark brown hair as it dripped wet from sweat. Blood ran out of her mouth shield down her cheek and onto the ground.
Sticking out of her flack vest was a sword. It was coated in dark black metal and on the sword was inscriptions in an ancient language. Standing above her was a figure in an orange battle attire. On the head was a round metal helmet with a crown of horns. The body was covered with leather strapped garments with metal plated all over for shielding from minor cuts and bruising by sharp and blunt weapons.
"Lord Kain?" a voice echoed. Suddenly a man sat up in a room breathing hard through a cloth mask covering his entire lower face, leaving his long silver white hair and dark red eyes revealed. His hair hung over his face as he jerked up, revealing pointed ears, and looked over to a man in green attire. His face as well covered in cloth to cover his lower face. His hair was a white as well, but shorter and eyes dark as the other's.
"Mainu?" the man replied. The man offered a nod for acknowledgment. On his back was a long sword, its blade was white and hilt clothed in green. "Yes Lord Kain."
Kain rotated over the side of the bed slowly and hung his legs off the edge, "Mainu.. It's Rage.. I'm not worthy of the title.." He looked down to the ground allowing his hair to hang further over his face.
"...You've grown so much since you were a kid.. You've matured into a great leader.. The others may have their opinion of everything, but I.. I will honor you before.." Mainu began, but was cut short before he could finish.
"No more... I had another dream of Flare.. I watched him kill her in my dreams over and over.. I witnessed him betray our father... his own mother.. and our purpose.." Rage said with a sigh at the end.
Mainu approached Rage and sat beside him on the bed, "We will stop him once and for all."
Rage jerked his head up at Mainu and shot him a serious look, "Malerie is not joining us.. Her daughter.. isn't as powerful as we need.."
"Her son.. Tyron. He's the true one we needed. Sarah isn't as strong, because she is a fragment of Malerie. She will never be stronger.. As she grows so shall Malerie..." Mainu stated in the facts to assure Rage there was reasons for his step-sister's absence.
"You have been watching for how long now?" Rage questioned Mainu.
"...Months. Ever since I let the scientist capture me... It was part of the plan. What we didn't anticipate was the mortals internal disputes. But it has played out my Lord.. I mean.. Rage. We can now recruit the boy..." Mainu had answered with excitement.
Rage looked across the room to the doorway, "There is a problem though. An arch-angel has recruited a mortal to claim souls for him. Since our turmoil.. he hasn't been getting the souls he desires.. and illegally has been claiming souls without authorization.."
"Should we dispose of him?"
"No.. There is an issue with this either way we start at it. We can try and recruit this mortal to help us fight Lucious.. or we persuade him to stop. Either way.. he has a problem as well.. His ex-lover.. is being held at blackmail.. His life is at stake.."
"What have me do my lord.. I mean Rage.." Mainu stood up in front of Rage and knelt beside him lowering his head. Rage stood up and walked to a wall closet. He opened it and it revealed a battle attire.
"You will return home... try getting the clans to start claiming souls again. Perhaps we can persuade... the angels and the creator to have mercy on them for not doing their purpose.. I will confront Michael and hope.. he makes a wise decision. I will also... try to recruit... Tyron." Rage began putting on his battle attire. It was golden, his shoulder pads laid over his leather strapped garments, plated all over to defend against minor cuts and bruising of sharp and blunt weapons.
"Yes Lord Kain.. I will speak in your honor to the clan leaders and my father.. I hope Lucious has not scared them so far they will not reason.." Mainu said as a large portal appeared behind him. It swirled in a bright colors and a light behind it. Mainu entered the portal and it vanished as he disappeared into it.
Rage stood there as he combed his hair back out of his face and put on a golden cape that rapped around his lower face and covered it as the cloth did. In the closet rested on a sword case was a long black metal sword with an inscription of an ancient language engraved on it. "I hope.. this will finally come to an end.."
